The rotary club of Dartmoor Vale every year run a Darts competition supported by local pubs in the Teignbridge area, money raised goes to their major project which is “The Santa Special” where they take some 800 disadvantaged local children on a steam train trip from Buckfastleigh to Totnes and back again with a gift for every child from Santa who kindly makes time in his busy schedule to join them on the return journey.
Wignall’s offices and phone system get taken over as “mission control” on the night of the Darts competition in order that the many teams may phone in their results and status.
As a thank you for this service Dartmoor Vale awarded Ray and Charlotte Wignall with a certificate.
