Wignall’s Deliveries

Local deliveries – Where possible for deliveries within South Devon, Wignall’s use a delivery driver who is contracted every Friday, this service is a one man crew, due to the weight of the load, the driver will be unable to lift the goods on his own. Therefore it is essential that clients ensure that another abled bodied person is available to assist with unloading the products to your home / business. Delivery will be to a convemient ground floor location only and the driver is not contracted to negotiate stairs and other hazzards. Please phone to discuss if you have a problem receiving your delivery.

Please be advised that we will provide a delivery date, but are unable to provide any specific time slots for this delivery service.

National Deliveries – We are able to offer a national delivery service, including the channel islands. If goods are in stock we can offer a next day service at an additional cost if ordered before midday, at all other times please allow up to 21 days for delivery. When goods are ready for despatch we will make contact with you to arrange delivery. this service is a one man crew, due to the weight of the load, the driver will be unable to lift the goods on his own. Therefore it is essential that clients ensure that another abled bodied person is available to assist with unloading the products to your home / business. Delivery will be to a convemient ground floor location only and the driver is not contracted to negotiate stairs and other hazzards. Please phone to discuss if you have a problem receiving your Kitchens & Bathrooms – Where possible we will deliver all products relating to your order on the first day of installtion, however for supply only items, our terms are as “Local Deliveries” above.

Important Information

  1. DELIVERIES ARE USUALLY BY A SOLE DRIVER, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU PROVIDE AND ABLED BODIED PERSON TO ASSIST THE DRIVER WITH UNLOADING AT THE DELIVERY ADDRESS. IT IS OFTEN ADVISABLE (FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS) TO HAVE MORE PEOPLE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST WITH LARGER LOADS. PLEASE ASK IF UNSURE. DELIVERIES CAN ONLY BE UNLOADED TO A CONVENIENT AND ACCESSIBLE GROUND FLOOR LOCATION. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT MANPOWER OR NOT BEING PRESENT TO ACCEPT THE DELIVERY, WILL RESULT IN A RE-DELIVERY CHARGE.

  2. MOST DELIVERIES ARE TRANSPORTED BY A 7.5T VEHICLE (WHICH IS THE SAME SIZE AS A REFUSE VEHICLE). IT IS ASSUMED THAT YOUR DELIVERY ADDRESS IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE BUT IF YOU FORESEE ANY DIFFICULTIES YOU MUST NOTIFY US BEFOREHAND SO THAT WE CAN MAKE ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOU.

  3. ALL PRODUCTS MUST BE THOROUGHLY INSPECTED AT TIME OF DELIVERY. ANY DAMAGE OR SHORTFALL MUST BE RECORDED ON THE DRIVERS DOCKET AND WIGNALL’S MUST BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY. OUR DELIVERY COMPANY WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGED GOODS IF THEY ARE NOT SIGNED FOR AS DAMAGED, WHICH MEANS NEITHER CAN WE.
